To recite the takbir tahrimah is a shart (compulsory prerequisite) [i] for the validity of a salah. When a person recites the takbir tahrimah incorrectly in such a way that the meaning of the takbir changes then the Salah is null and void. The word أكبر in the takbir tahrima is without an Alif after the ب which means The Greatest.
As said before, the prayer is begun by saying Allahu Akbar. This is called takbeerat ul-ihram. Many things that are permissible before saying this Allahu Akbar become impermissible (haram) in the prayer after saying it, such as eating, drinking, laughing and crying. The Obligatory Acts Of Takbeerat Ul-Ihram • It must be said in correct Arabic.
The jama'at does not say it. Right after saying it (if praying alone) or upon hearing the imam recite it (if with jama'at), must say: 'Rab'bana lakal hamd', and stand upright. Then, saying takbir (Allahu Akbar) start to kneel down for the Sajdah.
Then we rise back from sajdah to the standing position by saying: "Allahu Akbar". We clasp our hands, thus the second rakat starts. We say "Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-raheem"and recite the Fatiha. Then we recite some other surah. After this we go to ruku' again.
